Enables Reaming With Casing Without The Rotation
To address increasing challenges of running casing to TD in extended reach, highly deviated and horizontal wells with long lateral sections, Vertechs has introduced its proprietary HydroGRS™ (Hydraulic guide/reamer shoe). The HydroGRS™ incorporates a nose that is free to rotate without circulation or can be intentionally rotated using pump pressure when needed. This significantly reduces time & cost in getting the casing to TD in difficult environments such as swelling shales, ledges and/or washed out areas.
As an innovative casing running solution, HydroGRS™ was initially introduced by “JPT (Journal of Petroleum Technology), July 2015”.
