ZERO Lost Circulation with 725psi Validated in Micro-fractured Formations

2026-02-26

Formation pressure had depleted to 0.3, leading to total lost circulation at 432m in an offset well, with over 600m³ of water-based mud lost and more than 50 hours of NPT during drilling and cementing.

On the adjacent well, a different approach was taken. RWSS Real-Time Wellbore Strengthening Solution was applied pre-spud with 3% ULIA Ultra Low Invasion Additive, and sealing performance was monitored using the patented HPIT High-Pressure Invasion Tester. The well was drilled and cemented to target depth with zero lost circulation.

The difference was measurable.

HPIT verified sealing and pressure resistance under simulated permeability, pressure, and temperature conditions, demonstrating repeatable results with a standard deviation below 5% and correlation above 0.98.

Deployed in over 300 wells across China, Southeast Asia, and North America, the solution has achieved an 85% loss control success rate and reduced wellbore-instability-related NPT by an average of 33%.

If you are drilling in micro-fractured formations, early strengthening can determine whether a well becomes a loss event or a success case.
